Melanie Prichard was admitted as a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of England & Wales in 1990.
After practicing for 2 years in civil litigation she moved to Hong Kong. During the next 14 years she gained her Masters in Law from the Hong Kong University and went on to lecture in business law at the Hong Kong Polytechnic.
She was subsequently admitted as a solicitor in Hong Kong and was appointed a claims manager of the Hong Kong Solicitors Indemnity Fund. She held that position for 7 years.
After moving to New Zealand Melanie joined Heaney & Co. She is presently part of the firm’s litigation support team. This team operates to assist in the management of large scale litigation that the firm presently handles.
